About the course
You just found out the college you're applying to requires additional supplemental essays, or maybe you're curious to find out. Some colleges offer additional prompts beyond the college essay/personal statement where students have the opportunity to write about more specific topics and or display additional interest in a given college.This course will go through the supplemental writing sections that certain colleges require. We'll review where to start, how to research your prompt, how to edit when submitting your final writing. We'll also review common mistakes students make on the supplemental writing sections as well as some additional tips and resources to help you stand out in your application.
Instructor
I have worked for the past three years as a college adviser helping high school students with the college admissions process. During this time, I helped students with their college essays, SAT/ACT prep, and their college applications. I have also helped tutor peers in college and high school as well as led a middle school mentoring program. I joined Gooroo to make a number of subjects in high school more accessible and easier to understand for all students. I am excited to help students with the college application process as well as math and science subjects so they can achieve their goals and grow individually.
