About the course

Understanding what causes motion is an invaluable skill for any scientist. Scientists can elucidate events that appear mysterious, miraculous, or spooky simply by carefully analyzing the motion observed and determining its source. In this course, Newton’s three laws of motion will be presented and their implications in real life discussed. Students will watch videos that emphasize how these laws play out for different objects and witness how they can be seen in action in a variety of situations, from the moon orbiting the earth to a bat hitting a baseball.
