How do we talk about different communities? How do we describe them?
Introduce students to three ways of describing communities: 1. Basic living environments 2. pace of the community 3. climate of the community
Classifying information: types of communities: rural, suburban, urban
students will learn these words and the characteristics of each of these environments
Climate: hot, cold, humid, rainy, dry
Every community has a climate. students will learn new words that describe the climate
Population: crowded/busy/fast pace, quiet/relaxed/slow pace
