About the course

You may have heard "regroup" or "carry the ones" or "carry the tens" or "borrow" in math but what are these words talking about? We have to use regrouping all the time in addition. This course will show you how to regroup. Through using base ten blocks, you will see exactly how regrouping works. We will also go through addition problems that ask you to regroup using the standard algorithm.

Hello! My name is Yan Li and I am a teacher. I have taught as a student teacher in Boston for 4 years and I tutor in China over the summers. I am from Guangzhou, China and New York City. I am currently in my last year of studying elementary education at Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development. I am also enrolled in the Master's program for Curriculum and Instruction at Boston College, which I will complete in the upcoming year.
