About the course
There are many forms of printmaking and each has its own unique processes and histories. In this course I will give an overview of the history of printmaking, touching on how it has been used as a way to spread knowledge and political messages throughout the medium's history. I will give a brief description of the process of how woodcut, intaglio etched, lithographic, and screenprints are made. This will be followed with images and descriptions of famous historical prints of each type.
