What can you hear when you listen to music? Why do some pieces pump you up while others make you cry? How can you describe these differences? Using words, shapes, and colors we'll explore how emotions are captured in melody, rhythm, and harmony.

Liza Wu is a classical pianist and organist in Manhattan, performing regularly with NYC musicians, as well as internationally. She has been a long-time affiliate of many music organizations including the R. Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, Barnard College of Columbia University, NYU, the School for Strings, Avenues: The World School (NYC), Interlochen Arts Camps, studios of world-renowned vocalists Josephine Mongiardo, Harolyn Blackwell, and Catherine Malfitano, and most recently Gooroo.
