About the course
Economics is a systematic view of how society manages its resources. This short course introduces how economists study the world to high school students. In this first lesson, you will learn what economics is about, how do economists study society, and why the issue of causality matters to economists.

Hi. My name is Sungmin Park and I am a second-year Ph.D. student in Economics at Ohio State University. My research interest is in economic theory and labor economics. I am most interested in working on the optimal informational design of scoring, such as that measuring students' academic performance, workers' performance, or households' creditworthiness. I am also working on the effects of Advanced Placement coursework on students' learning in college. I also love playing the cello and have been playing for more than 20 years.
