Play The Blues

Course overview


Introduction to the Blues

Students will learn the history of the blues and its importance to jazz


Blues Scale/Melody

Students will learn the blues scale and its relationship to blues melodies.



Students will play through various improvisational exercises based on the blues.


Learn and Improvise Over a Blues Form

Students will learn a standard blues melody over a blues form and improvise.
