About the course

How do you feel when you hear the D-word or the L-word...I'm talking about debt and loans! These are two words that often make us sick and worry about our futures before we've even blinked. I wanted to do an entire course on taking out debt for your education so that you can be more prepared to do so in a safe manner. A lot of the videos and tips focus on preventative strategies to limit your debt or choose your debt wisely so that you don't pay any consequences later in life. We'll review what loans are, how to take them out, how to repay them, the timeline for doing all of this, and common mistakes as well as tips to be aware of. Hopefully this course will make sure you don't fret the debt and that you're prepared for making your education financially feasible and secure.

Instructor

I have worked for the past three years as a college adviser helping high school students with the college admissions process. During this time, I helped students with their college essays, SAT/ACT prep, and their college applications. I have also helped tutor peers in college and high school as well as led a middle school mentoring program. I joined Gooroo to make a number of subjects in high school more accessible and easier to understand for all students. I am excited to help students with the college application process as well as math and science subjects so they can achieve their goals and grow individually.
