About the course

"“Speed Run” through the phases of the matter that a single water droplet experiences on its way through nature’s most essential biogeochemical cycle. Put water’s importance to all earthly life in context by exploring the droplet's technique and process.

Via your favorite types of Youtube videos, travel through the cycles of the world. Learn processes from cellular respiration to water purification."

Course overview

1

Intro

Students will be introduced to the framing device, and reminded of water’s importance.

2

Biogeochemical cycles vs energy flow

Students will learn what distinguishes a biogeochemical cycle from the flow of energy in an ecosystem.

3

Evaporation and Condensation

Students will learn about evaporation and condensation

4

Precipitation and runoff

Students will learn about precipitation and runoff.

5

Water cycle model

Students will create a model of the water cycle which rotates to obscure all but one phase, so they can practice memorizing the order
