About the course

Not all doctors are equipped to take your temperature or perform surgery. Many other doctors are academics, researchers, advisers, professors, and other leaders in their fields who obtained a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy). This Gooroo course will go through what is a PhD, common jobs for PhD graduates, and weighing the pros and cons of going for this graduate degree. Additionally, we'll cover what you need to apply and how to apply to a PhD program. Lastly, we'll run through the timeline as well as resources and tips to look out for in the PhD application process. Hopefully, by the end of the course you'll be on your way to becoming a doctor and know the real doctor diPherence!
