About the course

This course will give you tips and techniques on how to write responses! The New York Times Summer Reading Contest happens once a year during – you guessed it – the summer... And, while I thoroughly encourage you to enter the contest, this course offers more than submission techniques, it offers ways to write reading responses. There are four main ways outlined in the course. So, if you are struggling to write a reading response, this course is for you!

Instructor

Hi! My name is Sam and I’m a rising senior at Columbia University, Majoring in Economics and English Literature. I grew up in London, England, (yes, I come with an accent) and went to high school at Eton College. I’ve been tutoring and teaching since I was fifteen – including a short stint as an English teacher at Hill House International School! I know the frustrations of parents and students when trying to overcome challenging academic hurdles. I am here to alleviate that burden and help you get over those obstacles with ease. So, get your crayons out. We’re gonna solve it.
