Every year, around 1.3 billion pounds of pumpkin ends up in landfills around the globe. As those pumpkins sit there rotting, they produce methane - an extremely environmentally harmful greenhouse gas. Let's make sure that your pumpkin doesn't end up as one of those landfill vegetables. Once Halloween is over, it may seem that there is no use for those pumpkins that once lined your hall table or adorned your front porch, but I am here to show you otherwise! You can still use those pumpkins to cook some delicious treats, even if you got your pumpkin multiple weeks ago. In this video, I will show you how to get as much use out of your pumpkin as possible. We will roast the seeds, cook the inside, and compost whatever we don’t use! Minimizing your food waste is such an effective way to make your every day life more sustainable.
