About the course

There will be times when you don’t always have the time or resources to figure out the exact answer for a math problem, so you will need to make an estimate of your answer! Rounding to the nearest decimal place value will help you do that. Learning how to round to the nearest hundredth or whole number will help you when shopping. If I had $20 and I wanted to buy two things that cost me 12.99 and 7.99 then I can estimate without figuring out the exact answer that my answer would be around 21! Rounding also helps us develop our number sense, which makes us more efficient and comfortable with numbers. In this class we will build on our knowledge of decimals by learning about how to round up and round down decimals.
