About the course

Do you want to learn to play piano? And read music? And better your technique? In this series, we'll be doing just that. Piano playing increases skills in concentration, aural awareness (which can help in learning languages), and motor-functions. This course is for new players and for beginners who want to brush up on their technique. Let's learn how to play piano!

Instructor

I first began tutoring in piano and music theory during my high school years in Italy, and continued to do so when I went to the UK for my undergraduate degree. Knowing music is like knowing another language, and I am pleased to have been able to pass on this knowledge to other young people. Since moving to New York, I have been an active volunteer composer with the 52nd Street Project. I find it so rewarding to collaborate creatively with these students, and to help their imaginations grow and thrive. I truly want my students to feel that they sky is the limit for their creative pursuits, and that they don’t feel held back by any gaps in their artistic knowledge. An arts education should be accessible to everyone, and I’m so grateful to Gooroo for the opportunity to reach more students.
