About the course
In this course I break down the 5 different types of gas laws and give examples on how to approach problems that students have had in the past with this topic. From how to properly convert pressure units to how to determine whether you should be using Charles' law or Boyle's law, I'll take you through it all. I hope you enjoy it.
Instructor
Hi, I'm Alex, a chemistry tutor. Most of you probably are coming into this subject with the misapprehension that chemistry is boring and hard, but that's where I come in. My goals and style of tutoring is to break down topics into understandable smaller bits, and then help you piece them together as a whole. As for my background, I received my BS in chemistry from SUNY Geneseo, followed by my PhD in organic chemistry (my specialty) from Syracuse in 2010. I worked in the industry for 7 years, but after being laid off, I began tutoring and have been so for over 3 years. I've tutored students as young as high school and in college, all the way to adults looking to change their career path, and I really enjoy watching students realize how easy a topic was once I help break it down with them.
