About the course
Have you ever fought over the last piece of cake with your sibling or friend? What if we have ⅛ of the cake left but three people to split it between? Sharing division helps us determine how big the piece of cake each person gets! We are also going to continue to emphasize the ideas on how drawing pictures helps us prove things in another way, and is important to help us explain our thinking! In this class, we will talk about what sharing division problems are, why they are important, and how to solve them! We will be going over some examples and exploring how we can use the area problem to visualize and understand how fractions work.
