A Panoramic Look at Art History: The Art of Georgia O'Keeffe discusses the art of American artist Georgia O'Keeffe. We will begin with an introduction to her work generally and why she is important in art history and to the art world. Then we will have a lecture on the major artworks and periods of her life and the revolutionary steps she was taking in her practice. After watching a clip of O’Keeffe discussing her process and how she thinks about her artwork we will have three different interviews with people to talk about their first impressions in encountering her work without any context.

Hello, my name is Merritt! I am a student at Yale University where I study Art History and Studio Art. I am personally very passionate about painting and graphic design, specifically, book design. I grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I was always surrounded by art. When I was younger I volunteered at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum where I first participated in arts education. I now tour-guide at the Yale Center for British Art where I teach visitors about the collection. I am interested in making art more accessible and hope that shows through in my videos!
