About the course

A Panoramic Look at Art History_Georgia O’Keeffe's Biography introduces students to the biography of American Modernist artist Georgia O'Keeffe. We will begin this course by introducing new art history vocabulary with accompanying images and then transition into a lecture on the important milestones in this artist’s life and why she is so important in the history of art. We will conclude the course with two visual analyses of two major O’Keeffe artworks to instill a better understanding of her artwork, of the new vocabulary introduced, and how to practice doing a visual analysis.
